THE BAND

The members in Under The Covers® have all been playing music in the Greater Toronto Area for over fifteen years playing in many different original bands and cover bands across Ontario and beyond. They love what they do and it really shows when they play a live show!

Luke Ryan

Born: October 29, 1986

Luke was born and raised in Orangeville and at the age of 12 he picked up his first guitar. It was at that moment he realized that music was what he wanted to do with his life. He has been in many bands since he first started performing, including Chaos Within, With Conviction, MSG, Brown Brigade, Only Weakness, Delaney, Wasted Measures, Torn Down Units and Under The Covers®.

Luke attended Durham College in Oshawa for Music Business Management where he graduated in 2010. Luke since pursued a career in the building industry as a Municipal Building Official and now works for a municipality during the day and performs in bands in the evenings and weekends.

Ian Stoodley

Born: March 17. 1986

Lives: Mississauga, Ontario

From: Mono, Ontario

Ian started playing bass at a young age influenced by bands like Rancid, NOFX, Rise Against, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. He learned fast and has a natural talent. If you see him at a live show, make sure to watch for his crazy bass lines that are truly the backbone of Under The Covers®.

When Ian isn't playing the bass, he is a senior software engineer for a software development company. One of the smartest guys you will ever meet!

Josh Ouellette

Born: May 16, 1984

Lives: Hockley Valley, Ontario

From: Hockley Valley, Ontario

Josh was born and raised in Hockley Valley, Ontario. He attended Fanshawe College in London where he learned his love for audio recording and playing in live bands. Josh gets his style from many different elements like Deftones, Dillinger Escape Plan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Rage Against The Machine. He holds that rock solid beat and knows how to keep the dance floor rocking hard!

When Josh isn't rocking the drums, he works hard as a sheet metal roofer/Journeyman for a large sheet metal company based around the Greater Toronto Area.

I.R. Ventura

Born: September 11, 1987

Lives: Orangeville, Ontario

From: Manila, Phillipines

I.R. is an occasional guest violinist with Under The Covers®. I.R. is a seasoned musician and multi-instrumentalist originally from the Phillipines. An incredible talent if you get a chance to see him live in action!

Ken Fobert

Born: April 23, 1986

Lives: Orangeville, Ontario

From: Orangeville, Ontario

Ken has been with Under The Covers® for many years and you can catch Ken with us a couple of times a year a various functions on lead/rhythm guitar. Ken is a family man with a career in digital marketing. You can also catch Ken rocking rhythm guitar with the Power Metal band, Borealis.

Kevin Fobert

Born: July 10, 1984

Lives: Newmarket, Ontario

From: Orangeville, Ontario

Kevin has been with Under The Covers since 2009 and you can catch Kevin with us a couple of times a year at various functions on lead guitar. Kevin is an incredible lead guitar player and really adds a cool element to Under The Covers®. Kevin is currently on a hiatus from UTC to focus on his family, but stay informed on possible appearances from Kevin with the band in the future!

John Fowler

Born: January 16, 1985

Lives: Shelburne, Ontario

From: Orangeville, Ontario

John has been with Under The Covers® since 2009 and you can catch John on the drums with us a couple of times a year at various functions. John will help out on the skins when our main man Josh can't make an appearance. John is a family man first and foremost, but if you get a chance to see him play the drums we highly recommend it! He is a machine.
